Definitions

Club/Organization - is defined as a group of students that share a common interest or characteristic and meet regularly for the purposes of exchanging information or planning activities.

GPA -  is defined as grade point average.

Club/Organization officer - is defined as an elected position, generally a president, vice president, secretary treasurer and/or parliamentarian.

Club/Organization member -  is defined as a student in a general membership role without a specific title or job function.

Eligibility Requirements will be reviewed each semester
Minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of a club or organization at º£½ÇÉçÇøCI:

  • Be in good academic and disciplinary standing (not on academic or disciplinary probation)
  • Be free of any holds on University records

Eligibility Requirements will be reviewed each semester. Minimum eligibility requirements to be an officer of a club or organization at º£½ÇÉçÇøCI:

  • Have an overall º£½ÇÉçÇøCI GPA of at least 2.5 (Undergraduates)
  • Have an overall º£½ÇÉçÇøCI GPA of at least 3.0 (Post Baccalaureate)
  • Have an overall Transfer GPA of at least 2.5 (Transfers)
  • Be in good academic and disciplinary standing (not on academic or disciplinary probation)
  • Be free of any holds on University records

Failure to meet the above requirements will result in the student member's removal from the Club/Organization's roster prior to the start of the next semester.

First time freshmen students without a º£½ÇÉçÇøCI GPA can not serve as officers, but may participate as general members their first semester. However, upon completion of their first semester they must follow the eligibility requirements outlined for general membership. Clubs/Organizations may impose more restrictive requirements in their constitution(s) or bylaws.
