I've Applied to º£½ÇÉçÇøCI, What's Next?

  • Check your email for your myCI login information:
    • Typically is sent 48 hours after your application is submitted and downloaded. During peak processing times, this may take up to 3-4 business days. If you did not receive this information, please contact admissions@csuci.edu as soon as possible so login information may be resent.
    • Activate this account and login to your myCI to check your admission status and any To-Do items º£½ÇÉçÇøCI is requesting from you in order to process your application.
      • You will need to know your Dolphin Name & Dolphin ID# in order to activate your account.
      • Familiarize yourself with CI Records. You will be able to review the following: 
        • Admissions status
        • To-Do list - to review pending items 
        • Holds
        • Financial Aid awards 
        • Personal Contact Information (name, address, phone numbers, emails) 
        • Account Balances and make payments
  • Get ready to turn in your official final transcript(s):
    • If you are a lower division transfer student, turn in your official final high school transcripts along with any college transcript(s) when requested. 
    • If you are a upper division transfer student, turn in your in-progress transcript(s) and/or final official college transcript(s) when requested. 
  • Admission Decisions:
    • A provisional Admissions letter and next steps will be emailed to you if you have met all the admission requirements.
      • Admit emails will be sent by the end of January for fall applicants & mid-September for spring applicants. 
      • Applicants admitted to the Nursing program will be notified by April. (this only applies to fall applicants) 
    • If we are unable to offer you admission, you will receive a denial notice via email. If you made a mistake on your application and would like to appeal the decision, please visit the Denied Transfer webpage or more information on how to submit an appeal. You will have 15 business days from the date indicated on your denial email to submit your appeal via email. 
    • How to Check your Admissions Status on your myCI portal. 
  • Check your email often:
    • Throughout the admissions and enrollment process, Cal State Channel Islands will communicate via messages posted on your To-Do List in your myCI account and the email address listed on your application. You will be held responsible for frequently checking your º£½ÇÉçÇøCI email and monitoring your myCI account throughout the remainder of the admission and enrollment process.
    • Check your bulk mail and/or spam filter folder, and set your email to accept all messages from the @csuci.edu domain.
