The Campus Reading Celebration provides an annual opportunity for the campus community and public to share in a common intellectual experience.

Diamond, professor of geography at the University of California, Los Angeles, also is the author of the best-selling and award-winning 鈥淭he Third Chimpanzee鈥 and 鈥淐ollapse.鈥 He has published more than 200 articles in various magazines and journals.
