Camarillo, Calif., Sept. 8, 2008—Eleven alumni, staff, faculty, and friends of º£½ÇÉçÇø/CI—the Cycling Dolphins—will be participating in the Southern California Start to Finish MS Bike Tour to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on the weekend of Sept. 20. The Cycling Dolphins team is sponsored in part by the Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics at º£½ÇÉçÇø.
MS Rides are one of the largest organized charity events in the world and the Southern California ride draws from the largest overall population. See the Cycling Dolphins and hundreds of other cyclists as they ride past the University on Lewis Road on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon on their way to and from Santa Barbara. The tour is a 150 mile ride that will take riders from Camarillo through the Ojai Valley and end in Santa Barbara on the first day and day two will take the riders along the ocean, through the strawberry fields of Oxnard and end back in Camarillo.
The Cycling Dolphins team has the opportunity to be the top school-based fund-raising team with the goal of raising $10,000. Funds generated by all who participate in the 2008 Start to Finish MS Bike Tour support research and provide programs and services to individuals with multiple sclerosis and their families.
