Camarillo, Calif., Feb. 6, 2008鈥敽=巧缜 will host the Actors From The London Stage on campus to lead classes and offer a performance during the group鈥檚 campus visit. On Thursday, Feb. 14 the group will perform 鈥淭aming of the Shrew鈥 in Malibu Hall 140 on the 海角社区CI campus. The performance begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are free for 海角社区CI students with an identification card and are $10 for the general public.

Limited parking is available on campus and is $6 for a daily permit. Free parking is available at the Camarillo Metrolink Station/Lewis Road parking lot in Camarillo with shuttle service to and from the campus until 10 p.m. Riders should board the 海角社区CI Vista bus. There will be way-finding signage on campus directing attendees to parking and the event.

The Actors From The London Stage also will perform 鈥淭aming of the Shrew鈥 at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Ventura Center for Spiritual Living, 101 South Laurel St., Ventura. Tickets may be purchased at the door and are $20 for general admission; $15 for senior citizens and teachers; free of charge for 海角社区CI students with a student identification card; and $15 for students of other institutions.

Now in its 33rd year, Actors From The London Stage is one of the oldest established touring Shakespeare theater companies in the world. Housed and work shopped in England with academic tours booked through the auspices of the Marie P. DeBartolo Center For The Performing Arts at the University of Notre Dame, this program is truly unique.

Offering a tour in the spring and another in the fall, Actors From The London Stage visits approximately 16 to 20 universities in a year, giving students and faculty around the country a chance to experience a dynamic and enriching performing arts program.

Developed by Professor Homer Swander at the University of California-Santa Barbara and founded by the renowned British actor, Patrick Stewart, the one week residency program is truly an actor driven tour de force.
