Camarillo, Calif., Nov. 18, 2008— will host a panel discussion titled “Globalization: Its Impact on You,” from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Petite Salon on the campus. There is no RSVP required and this event is sponsored by the Dean’s Leadership Council, Instructionally Related Activities Committee, and the Center for International Affairs.

This event will feature brief presentations from George Ritzer, University of Maryland Sociologist and author of “The McDonaldization of Society”; Ted Bagley, Vice President of Human Resources—World Wide Manufacturing for Amgen Inc. in Thousand Oaks; and Laura Robin, BMW Group DesignworksUSA Director of Strategy and Design Research. Following their presentations there will be a question and answer session. This discussion will address cultural globalization and how globalization will impact the careers of future college graduates.


This event is free and open to the campus community and public. Limited parking is available on campus and is complimentary. Follow signs to designated event parking areas. Free parking is available at the Camarillo Metrolink Station /Lewis Road parking lot in Camarillo with complimentary shuttle service to and from the campus. Riders should board the CI VISTA Bus. Buses arrive and depart from the Camarillo Metrolink Station every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. For exact times, check the schedule at .
