Camarillo, Calif., Feb. 14, 2008 – º£½ÇÉçÇø announces that applications are now available for the President’s Scholars Program for the 2008-09 academic year.

The deadline for applying for this student scholarship, awarded on the basis of academic merit, is March 2. Applications are available online at: www.csuci.edu/financialaid/scholarships.htm.

The President’s Scholars Program is open to freshmen who will be entering in the fall of 2008 with a grade point average of 3.75 and a minimum of 1200 SAT scores on both the verbal and math portions. The scholarship pays for full resident fees, a $600 per semester book store credit, and the use of a laptop computer. The scholarship is renewable for four years.

University scholarship programs are made possible by contributions from many members of the local community, including the Pierre Claeyssens family whose generous gift established this scholarship.
