Camarillo, Calif., Nov. 20, 2008— Art Program will present its fifth Annual “Student Art Sale Extravaganza” beginning on Thursday, Dec. 4 and continuing through Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008. This three-day benefit art sale will feature hundreds of artworks in painting, drawing, design, photography, ceramics and sculpture. Art sale hours are Thursday, Dec. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,  and Saturday, Dec. 6  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The sale will be held on the Channel Islands campus in the Topanga Hall Art Complex.

There will be a reception that is open to the public, with music, refreshments and art demonstrations by CI students on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the CI Art Program.

This student sale has become a tradition for the CI Art Program, and 50 percent of all money generated by the sale of student artwork is earmarked to benefit the artist’s choice of the American Cancer Society, the Arc, or the CI Foundation-Art Exhibit Fund.  The other 50 percent goes to the contributing artist.    

Limited parking is available on campus and is $6 for a daily permit. Follow signs to designated event parking areas. Free parking is available at the Camarillo Metrolink Station /Lewis Road parking lot in Camarillo with shuttle service to and from the campus. Riders should board the CI VISTA Bus and the fare is $1 each way. Buses arrive and depart from the Camarillo Metrolink Station every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
