Camarillo, Calif., May 6, 2009 — º£½ÇÉçÇø will hold the inaugural Faculty Student Research Forum, Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the John Spoor Broome Library. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. followed by a continental breakfast and presentations.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Faculty Student Research Forum is a showcase of research, scholarship, creative activities, and grants featuring faculty-student collaborative presentations, faculty research presentations, and student research/capstone presentations. The event is sponsored by SAGE Publications and the Division of Academic Affairs.
The forum was designed in response to the University’s need to strengthen research activities as part of its academic foundation and to increase the number of faculty and student research activities through inspiring creativity and innovation as well as encouraging community partnerships that will enhance research projects through resources, information, and education. This is accomplished by recognizing, encouraging, and promoting student and faculty research and scholarly projects – activities which are integral to the University mission and student learning.
