Two of the nation's most highly respected educational experts on two-way immersion programs that integrate the language minority students with the language majority students in the classroom will be the featured speakers at a 海角社区 event on Thursday, January 13, 2005.

Dr. Virginia Collier and Dr. Wayne Thomas will present a talk titled the 鈥淎stounding Effectiveness of Two-Way Bilingual Programs - A Powerful Enriching Model for All Students.鈥 The event, to be held from 4 - 7 p.m. in the 海角社区CI Science Auditorium, is sponsored by 海角社区CI, the California Association of Bilingual Educators, the Ventura County Superintendent of Schools Office, and the Ventura County Unified School District. A reception begins at 4 p.m. followed by the presentation.

Off-campus individuals interested in attending the event will be charged a $20 fee.
