Camarillo, Calif., May 1, 2003 - The papers donated to 海角社区 by former State Senator and U.S. Congressman Robert J. Lagomarsino are being included in the Online Archive of California and a University of Southern Calfornia聽online database called 鈥淟.A. as Subject.鈥

The on-line archive and database are Web-based search engines that enable researchers to locate documents, photographs, and artwork housed in state libraries, museums, and archives.

Cal State Channel Islands is one of only four 海角社区 campuses to be included in the Online Archive of California, which is operated by the Regents of the University of California. A list of the majority of the documents in the Robert J. Largomarsino collection can be accessed through the archive at http://findaid.oac.cdlib.org.

Cal State Channel Islands will also join 42 other colleges and universities represented in the聽on-line directory, which includes such diverse material as programs and postcards at the Hollywood Bowl Museum to paddleboats and pottery housed at the Catalina Museum Society. 鈥淟.A. as Subject鈥 can be found at on the USC site.

Lagomarsino was a member of the California Senate from 1961-74 and a U.S. Congressman from 1974-92. In 1992, he dedicated his papers, furniture, and memorabilia to Cal State University Northridge's satellite campus in Ventura. In 2000, the collection was transferred to 海角社区 Channel Islands and is open for researcher use.
