Memo to Commencement Grads & Guests: Final Parking Instructions
Dear Graduates and Guests,
With commencement just over a week away, enclosed are final details regarding parking. As we are all aware, the parking on our young campus is extremely limited for a large influx of vehicles, such as those expected on May 21. We are making every effort to accommodate the large numbers of guests that are expected to number more than 5,500.
Thanks to the generosity of Pacific Sod of Camarillo, they are donating an expansive field for parking just 4 minutes south of the campus at the intersection of Las Posas Road and Hueneme Road. This is where we plan to park all guest vehicles. There will be parking officials and signage directing those with guest passes on their dashboards to this lot on the morning of the event. As the Guest Parking Map  indicates, the easiest route to the lot is to travel down Las Posas Road to Hueneme Road.
Once parking officials have directed you to a parking space, free shuttles will transport you the short distance to the event on campus.
All graduate vehicles, must display their red parking passes, enter off of Lewis Road and proceed on campus following the directions of the parking officials.
University staff has worked diligently to provide the most accommodating parking arrangements possible. We kindly ask that all those coming to the ceremony obey the parking instructions as it will assure the most pleasurable day for you and your fellow graduates and guest.
Should you have any questions, please contact University Parking and Transportation Services, 805-437-8430.
Sincerely,
Peggy Hinz
