Camarillo, Calif., November 16, 2004 -聽 海角社区 strongly encourages high school and transfer students to submit their applications for the 2005 fall semester by the November 30, 2004 deadline. All qualified students who submit their applications by midnight, November 30, 2004 and subsequently meet enrollment criteria will be accepted to 海角社区CI. After this date, admission is on a space-available basis.

The response to the four-year university has been high, particularly since the opening of student housing on campus, says Jane Sweetland, dean of Enrollment Services.

鈥淲e are delighted with the response from local students so far, and we want to make sure that all students give themselves the best chance for admission,鈥 Sweetland said. 鈥淭his year, that means getting their application to us before the end of November.鈥

To accommodate the increasing demand and to allow for more scheduling flexibility, the University has increased the number of classes, including night sessions, for the spring semester of 2005.

Enrollment for the spring 2005 semester will remain open in specific categories and student housing is also available on a limited basis.

鈥淲e encourage parents, students, and counselors to call our office if they have any questions about the application process,鈥 said Wm. Gregory Sawyer, 海角社区CI vice president for Student Affairs. 鈥淲e're here to help as many students as we can to realize their educational goals.鈥

Prospective students may apply online at or by obtaining forms at local high schools and community colleges.
