º£½ÇÉçÇø

º£½ÇÉçÇø (º£½ÇÉçÇøCI) strives to be a campus free of the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of illicit drugs and alcohol on campus premises. In accordance with theDrug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989, º£½ÇÉçÇøCI is required to annually distribute information about its Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program (DAAPP) to faculty, staff and students in order to receive funds or financial assistance under any Federal program.

º£½ÇÉçÇøCI recognizes the importance of annually informing students and employees of the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse, as well and providing information on resources about support, both on and off campus, in an effort to ensure student and employee health, safety and security. While º£½ÇÉçÇøCI respects the rights of individuals to engage in the lawful consumption of alcohol as authorized by its policies, the DAAPP is intended as an educational tool to take effective steps to decrease the use and misuse of drugs and alcohol on campus premises.

The DAAPP report is maintained by the Dean of Students office, within the Division of Student Affairs. The following information is included in the DAAPP:

  • º£½ÇÉçÇøCI’s policies and disciplinary sanctions regarding illicit drug and alcohol use on campus.
  • Heath risks associated with illicit drug use and alcohol abuse.
  • Resources for drug and alcohol programs, including treatment and prevention programs both on and off campus.
  • Legal sanctions applicable at the local, state and federal levels for the use and misuse of illicit drugs.

The DAAPP is distributed annually to students, faculty and staff, per the requirements of the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989.
