Greetings from the Vice President of Business & Financial Affairs

Welcome to Business and Financial Affairs (BFA) at Channel Islands! Often behind the scenes, our teams are hard at work to support our students and broader community. BFA includes a wide range of support services to help you achieve your goals. Our core values drive our operation to fulfill the university’s mission:

  • Student Success: We recognize that our students are at the heart of everything we do and work hard to ensure that every decision prioritizes a positive impact to students first;
  • Stewardship of Essential Resources: The university’s mission depends on our talented and inspirational staff and faculty; with our employees being our greatest resource. We also manage financial, space, safety, technology, and energy resources to foster an ideal learning environment while ensuring a sustainable future;
  • Support and Empowerment: We strive to be a trusted strategic advisor and training partner, fostering a safe, transparent, and collaborative environment where individuals are empowered to apply the tools and resources they need to excel in their roles and contribute toward a positive student experience;
  • Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Equity: We continuously seek to improve our processes and operations to provide cutting-edge tools, improve outcomes, and ensure equitable access to our services, all while containing costs.

We are committed to working closely with our colleagues across the organization and throughout the community to achieve our shared goals. I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our services, initiatives, and team. If you have any questions or require assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
