The Central Plant鈥檚 main function is to provide the campus with a centralized source for 聽heating and cooling the buildings. The plant accomplishes this by creating hot and cold water, 聽delivered through a piping network that is connected to each building鈥檚 heating and cooling systems.聽The 聽second function of the plant is to monitor the temperatures and conditions of every space on campus to enhance the learning environment.聽
