The Benefits Office conducts bi-weekly orientations for new staff employees. Benefits orientations specific to faculty are also scheduled at the beginning of each semester.
Enrollment Periods
New Hire
60 days from a qualifying appointment/re-appointment or eligible time base change to enroll in benefits
Late Event
If special enrollment is not applicable, you (or your dependents) will have wait 90 days or until the next Open Enrollment period for insurance to be effective.
Life Event (example- marriage, birth of child etc.)
Must enroll within 60 days of the life event and enrollment is effective the 1st of the month following enrollment.
Open Enrollment
Enroll during the three-week open enrollment period in Sept/October. Enrollment is effective Jan 1st.
