Student Conduct Procedures
The student conduct process, role of advisors and attorneys, sanctions, conference and hearing resolutions, definitions, and proceedings may be located in the .
Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation, Sexual Misconduct, Dating/Domestic Violence, and Stalking
Cases that may involve discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence, or stalking will first be reviewed and may be investigated by the Title IX and Inclusion office. After a case has been investigated and if the allegation has been substantiated under º£½ÇÉçÇø Executive Order , the case is then sent to the Dean of Students office for a decision on disciplinary sanctions only. º£½ÇÉçÇø Executive Orders, and , provide details as to how DHR and Title IX cases will be resolved at the University.
Academic Integrity
As an institution of higher learning, º£½ÇÉçÇøCI values academic integrity and will not tolerate acts of academic dishonesty. If a student commits an act of academic dishonesty in a course, the faculty member shall handle the incident based on applicable campus procedures. After action has been taken, the faculty member will notify the Dean of Students office so the circumstances may be considered in their totality. The Dean of Students office will follow up with the student for possible disciplinary action.

Smoke-Free & Tobacco Free Campus
Effective Aug. 23, 2017, º£½ÇÉçÇøCI became smoke and tobacco-free in keeping with . The following is not allowed on campus:
- Use of any smoke-emitting products including cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes, hookahs, e-cigarettes, vapor devices, or similar products, are all prohibited on University property.
- Tobacco and nicotine use in any form whether smoked, heated, chewed, absorbed, dissolved, inhaled, snorted, sniffed, or ingested by any other means. FDA approved tobacco cessation products when used for this purpose are exempt.
º£½ÇÉçÇøCI will neither encourage nor tolerate hostile interpersonal conduct related to the enforcement of this policy. If you encounter a student who violates the policy and disregards your requests for them to stop, contact The Dean of Students office at 805-437-8512, smoke-free@csuci.edu, or by submitting a report at the link above.
